JAMES M. WALKER

With over 15 years in sales, management, customer service and marketing experience. I have dedicated the last 8 years to helping individuals achieve success. At SELF STORAGE PROFITS INC we treat each customer as a potential lifetime client.Our goal is to give every individual unlimited and easy access to multiple areas of education to inspire change within. Our team is dedicated to help each client work hard to accomplish all of their goals, and always continue to strive to move forward in a positive direction. Our goal is to do this and still maintain strong personal ethics and integrity.

JESSE D. LUKE

Jesse has proudly served as a professional mentor with our Self Storage Investing program since 2010. He has been a featured speaker at the boot camps since 2008, and greatly enjoys assisting new investors who are actively looking to purchase their first self storage operation.In addition to our mentorship program, Jesse currently is a Vice President of Investments and Founder of the Midwest Self Storage Advisors at Hardison & Associates, a boutique brokerage firm in St. Charles, IL. There, he facilitates brokerage services, exclusively specializing in the Self Storage marketplace. Jesse started his career in self storage brokerage with Marcus & Millichap’s National Self Storage Group as an Associate in May of 2006.Prior to that, he was employed with Enterprise Rent-a-Car for six years. There, he held a variety of positions including running the rental operation at O’Hare International Airport, and finally overseeing their Corporate Class Sales Department for a 36 office region in Chicago.His expertise in performance management and ability to develop relationships has led to a very successful career in the investment real estate industry. He regularly represents both private and institutional clients. To date, Jesse has sold 24 properties, with sales volume totaling nearly $60,000,000. Jesse was one of the first members appointed to the Board of Directors for the Indiana Self Storage Association.

A native of suburban Chicago and busy father of four; Jesse enjoys spending time with his wife of nine years (Elizabeth), son (Caden) and three dayghters (Loryana, Annalea and Tessa).

DAVID MANKA

Mentor/New Owner Operator & Student Success Story

David is an alumnus of Scott Meyers’ Self Storage mentoring program. Nine months after attending his first academy, he closed on his first self-storage facility 200 miles from his home in Cincinnati. He is the owner of Steady Storage in Danville, Illinois, that is currently at >95% occupancy.David has 5 years of experience as a real estate investor and began as a landlord of single family homes. He sold his last residential property in June 2011 to focus on self storage. After graduating with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2001, he began his career as a research scientist in Brussels, Belgium and later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. He continues to publish articles related to his research on vascular biology, and speaks at international scientific meetings.Memberships

ANNE WILLIAMS

Mentor/ Facility Specialist

Anne has served the self-storage industry for eleven years and is frequently called upon to offer advice relevant to management, operations, market conditions, capital markets and economic trends affecting the self storage industry. Anne currently is a Real Estate Broker with Marcus & Millichap’s National Self Storage Group where she exclusively facilitates the acquisition and disposition of self-storage assets.Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap in 2006, was employed by Extra Space Storage/Storage USA (ESS) for six years where she directed the sales and operations of sixteen self-storage facilities with annualized gross potential income of over $9 million.Prior to her career at ESS, Anne sold residential real estate for six years in the Memphis, TN marketplace.In 2007, she co-founded the Tennessee Self Storage Association where she has since served as Treasurer, Membership Chair, Vice-President and President. Also she is a member of the National Self Storage Association and the Alabama Self Storage Association.Anne graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Economics & Finance. When Anne’s not working, she enjoys boating on the Tennessee River, running, biking and volunteering her time through the Junior League of Memphis, Ronald McDonald House and the Memphis Sail & Power Squadron.

GREG M. MICHAEL

Mentor

Greg is a 2010 alumni of Scott Meyers Self Storage Academy . Less than 6 months after attending the Las Vegas academy, he & his partner purchased their first self-storage facility in northern Indiana . They now own 2 locations with over 200 storage units. Greg is also a partner in a real estate investment company that currently owns 50 apartments & houses. In addition to real estate investments, he is a partner in two Independent Insurance agencies. Greg attended Purdue University and has been an auctioneer & real estate broker since 1978, selling farms & farm machinery at auction. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife Pam, reading, bicycling & running (having completed several Indy mini-marathons). Greg also enjoys camping & spending time with his 2 sons, daughter-in-law & one grandchild. Greg is an elder & active member of New Hope Community Church in his home town of Flora, Indiana. Greg & Pam recently purchased a property in Florida & are looking forward to escaping some of Indiana ’s winters.

KANDAS L. BROOME

Event Director & Mentoring Coordinator

Kandas is new to the Self Storage Investing Team, just coming on board at the beginning of August 2011. She is taking on the responsibilities of Event Director and Mentoring Coordinator. She brings over 7 years of experience, excitement and passion to the table.She has held titles of Event Director, Marketing Coordinator, Executive Assistant and Customer Services Manager and worked in fields of Investor Financing for Residential Properties, Commercial Private Funding, Commercial Banking and has even been a speaker for local Carolina groups on Morals and Ethics of Investment Financing.She works virtually for Self Storage Investing from her office in the Charlotte, North Carolina area and is the CEO of her own Consulting Company. A very busy Mom of 2 young daughters (MaKayla and Morgan), Kandas enjoys her free time with family and friends and escapes to the coast whenever possible.Kandas has caught the “Self Storage Investing Bug”, her and her husband (Matthew) are looking to purchase their first facility this year.
